The DRX™ Lineup

DRX™ Systems for Non-Surgical Spine Treatment

Four configurations built on one targeted decompression technology: the lumbar, cervical, and thoracic spine in a single treatment room. Manufactured by Excite Medical (Florida, USA).

Choose the System That Fits Your Clinic

Every DRX™ system works on the principle of targeted decompression: a servo drive, a closed feedback loop, and a precise angle of pull aimed at the specific disc.

  • DRX9000

Decompression system for the lumbosacral spine: segments L1-L2 through L5-S1. For patients with low back pain and sciatica. The foundation of the lineup.
  • Combo (DRX9000 + DRX5000)

Combination system: the DRX9000 with the cervical attachment installed. Treats the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine on a single device.
  • DRX9000C (DRX5000)

Cervical attachment for the DRX9000, treating segments C3-C4 through C7-T1. Installed on an existing DRX9000 or supplied as a combination. Does not operate on its own.
  • DRX9500 (DRX5000)

Standalone system for the cervical and thoracic spine with an integrated couch. Functionally identical to the DRX9000C, but built as a self-contained unit.

Shared Platform

What All DRX™ Systems Have in Common

The DRX9000 and DRX9500 methods rely on identical technology and differ in design and mode of use. In both cases, the pull acts on one specific intervertebral disc without involving the discs of other segments. This makes it possible to apply maximum force exactly where it is needed and to create negative pressure around the nucleus pulposus.

Each system runs from a grounded 220 V outlet and comes with an uninterruptible power supply.

  • Split table that moves from vertical to horizontal
  • Windows-based touchscreen computer
  • Built-in scale: the patient’s weight goes straight into the software
  • Patient restraint system in multiple sizes
  • Documentation and printout of the protocol for every session
  • Patient screen and headphones for a movie or music during treatment
  • Hand-held patient safety switch

Sources: operator’s manuals for DRX9000 (64-0001), DRX9000C (64-0002), and DRX9500 (64-0003); Excite Medical dimension specifications; ELTECH recommendations on room size. Discrepancies between documents: the DRX9000C weight is 300 lb in the manual and 500 lb in the specification (the manual value is shown); for the DRX9500, the manual gives 850 lb with an incorrect conversion of 317 kg (the correct figure is ≈ 386 kg); an earlier Russian-language ELTECH fact sheet lists rounded dimensions and weights (about 700, 300, and 1000 kg) that do not match the manufacturer’s specifications and are not used. Operating temperature and humidity conditions vary between manual editions and are confirmed at delivery.

Configuration

Which Configuration to Choose

One system per clinic. If you plan to install only one system, we recommend the DRX9000 + DRX9000C (DRX5000) combination. It lets you treat patients with both lumbar and cervical spine conditions.

A full-service center. If you are opening a clinic that will treat spinal conditions with DRX™ systems and plans to grow, our experience shows that two systems are optimal: one combination unit (DRX9000 + DRX9000C) and one lumbar-only DRX9000. Lumbar spine conditions account for 70–75% of patients, and this setup offers a more effective way to keep your patients’ treatment running without interruption.

Already running a DRX9000. The DRX9000C cervical attachment can be added to any installed DRX9000.

A separate cervical system. The DRX9500 is a standalone device with an integrated couch for treating the cervical and thoracic spine; it does not require a DRX9000.

ELTECH specialists finalize the configuration individually based on your patient volume, room size, and clinic profile.

Installation

Room and Installation Requirements

A DRX™ system needs no special renovation: a stable floor, a grounded outlet, and clear access to the device are enough.

  • Floor

The manufacturer sets no specific floor material requirements: concrete, screed, or wood all work. What matters is a stable base that does not shift or wobble.
  • No Anchoring Required

The device does not need to be bolted to the floor. Moving parts travel up and down and back and forth within the machine’s footprint.
  • Access to the Device

Front access is required. If possible, leave a walkway behind it as well, so the physician can secure the patient and monitor the process more easily.
  • Power Supply

A grounded 220 V outlet. An uninterruptible power supply is included with every system. Do not place sources of strong electric fields nearby.
  • Room Finish

No additional room finishing is required. Recommended room size: 15–20 m² for the DRX9000 or DRX9500, 20–30 m² for the combination system.
  • Delivery and Installation

Systems arrive in wooden crates (DRX9000: 4 crates, DRX9000C: 1, DRX9500: 4). ELTECH handles delivery, installation, and commissioning.
